BIOGRAPHY

In 2013, while working on a film for the Canadian Museum of Immigration, I met Samina and heard about her extraordinary journey. She asked me to help her tell her story.

“Take my picture” I asked my friend.

She looked at me like I had lost my mind. And perhaps I had. Why else would I be in this hospital room? Who in their right mind would want to be photographed in this moment?

It's only words.  And words are all I have.
